It is a great joy to be able to share with you a little of our church today. The people of Calvary Baptist desire to be a blessing and help to all who visit with us. A blessing here on these pages and a blessing in person, as we gather together on Sundays and Wednesdays as the family of faith in worship of Jesus our Lord and Savior at 235 East Main Street, Salem, SC.

It is our desire that Jesus will use this website and us as His church to bring much glory to His name. “To God be the Glory” is our goal in all that we do. In Psalm 67:1, we find a prayer of the psalmist to God, “God be merciful unto us, and bless us....”

At Calvary Baptist, we know that God has been merciful to us! We remember the condition of our lives before the Lord found us and saved us by His grace. We are thankful to Him for hearing our prayer to Him, “to be merciful unto us.” For in His mercy and grace we have received His salvation in Jesus Christ.

And today as the Lord's people, we continue to ask of the Lord “to bless us...”—v.1. Why? The answer is found in verses 2 and 3 of Psalm 67—in order that “thy way—(His) may be known upon earth, thy saving health among all nations.” It is God's desire to be glorified and “praised by all the people” v.3.

Because God's desire is that all the world would worship Him; it is our joy here on these pages “to put all of the world” in remembrance of Jesus and His sacrifice—for truly our church exist for Him.
