Introducing Calvary Awana Ministries

    What is Awana?

Awana is an international, non-denominational, Bible-based organization whose goal is to reach boys and girls with the gospel of Christ and train them to serve Him. Awana at Calvary consists of three clubs for grades K3-6th – Cubbies (K3-K4), Sparks (K5-2nd), and Truth & Training (3rd-6th). Click on the above link "Calvary Awana" to find out more about the Awana program at Calvary, and view pictures from several 2002-2003 Awana activities.  Awana this year will be on Wednesday evenings from 6:00 - 8:00 PM.

Our Food Bank Ministry

Calvary maintains a well stocked food bank which is sponsored primarily by our Adult Bible Study Class.  These grocery items are available to provide immediate relief to anyone in our area needing food for whatever reason.  This ministry is carried out by our deacons with Mr. Arthur Medlin the primary deacon in charge of distribution.  You may contact Mr. Medlin at 944-2064 or our Pastor at 944-8725 if you are in need or if you wish to contribute to this ministry.   Click on the "Calvary Food Bank" link above for more details.

Our Bible Study Ministries

Wednesday evenings:  7:00 PM through 8:00 PM

At present we enjoy a time of informal praise and worship followed by a very practical Bible study every Wednesday evening.  Our praise and worship consist of songs played through our sound systems with the words displayed on our large screen.  This is a time when young and old come together in an enjoyable yet meaningful time of worship.  Our Bible study is always out of the Holy Bible and is conducted in such a way as to meet practical needs and answer your questions concerning God's Word.

Sunday Mornings:  9:30 AM until 10:15 AM

Nursery:

Our nursery is fully staffed and operated for morning Bible Study beginning at 9:30 AM through the Worship Service ending at 11:30 AM each Sunday morning.  Children are welcomed on a voluntary basis, you are also certainly welcome to have your children with you for any Class or Worship Service.

Children K-5 through 6th Grade:

These children are welcomed to a special area provided up-stairs, where they will receive Bible Study programs designed by the "TEAM KID" curriculums.  They also will have opportunity to participate in music activities as well as enjoy a refreshing snack.

Youth and Young Adults:

This is our newest class and it is possibly our most exciting.  Youth as well as both single and married Young Adults join together for refreshments, lively and interesting Bible Study and discussions as well as participation in Ministries outside of the classroom which are designed to benefit our church and community and deepen personal commitment.

Adults:

Older as well as Senior Adults both married and single come together each Sunday Morning for a challenging Bible Study taught by our Pastor.   This class meets in the auditorium and is extremely easy to join.  We enjoy various forms of fellowship together during the Church year and are very active in Church-Wide Ministries.

Our Fellowship Activities

Many of the fellowship activities are planned and carried out within our various Bible Study Groups and our Children's Ministries, but at least once each quarter, we enjoy a Church-Wide time of fellowship and fun.

No reservations were necessary, and everyone was warmly welcomed.  We hope you can come to our next fellowship activity, which will be announced on the "Announcement" page as soon as it is scheduled.
