Calvary Baptist Church was organized on January 18, 1939 as the result of the desire of its founders to worship and serve God with a renewed vitality in this community. Mr. W. C. Campbell and Mr. Sterling Crumpton were among the charter members and their families are represented among the membership today.

The desire for heartfelt and vigorous devotion to the Lord Jesus Christ remains strong in the Church today and marks our ministries as well as our worship.

Calvary is a cooperating member of the Southern Baptist Convention at the national level as well as the South Carolina Baptist Convention at the state level. Our local association is with the Beaverdam Baptist Association.
